Hi Support

We have noticed that the reCAPTCHA has stopped working on our Toolset Forms although we have not changed anything in that regard.

I was wondering was this also due to the latest Toolset Forms updates? I checked that our keys were correct in Google Console and in Toolset > Settings > Forms > reCATPCHA API, and as mentioned these were working fine before.

The issue can be reproduced from the Sign Up or Become a Native Nanny links from the menu on our site. When the user clicks the reCAPTCHA box, it just gets checked without any test being presented.

I checked your support forum and saw that previous updates caused this issue in the past, but haven't seen any more recent posts detailing this problem.

Is this a known issue? Any workarounds?

Thanks and regards
Simon

Hello Simon,

Maybe this happens because of a browser extension, or a network issue. I could not reproduce any issues in different browsers. The reCAPTCHA worked for me without issues. By worked, I meant that the reCAPTCHA snipper was loading and that the network calls to google's servers finished correctly, the OK green checkmark appeared too.

Can you try again from your side? Can you also record a short screencast while trying so I can see the same things? I usually use Loom or the Screencastify chrome extension from screencasts.

Hi Jamal

After reviewing the help from Google reCAPTCHA I discovered that it is not the case that it will ALWAYS ask for a challenge test and that it only asks if it thinks you are not a human. In all our previous testing, it always prompted us with a test. I can force it to ask my clicking the box and then not doing anything on the form for about 60 seconds, then it "expires" somehow and I get a challenge.

In any case it would appear not to be a problem with Toolset Forms and I am happy to close this one.

My issue is resolved now. Thank you!
