I have a WordPress page made with the toolset forms Gutenberg block
Now i password protected this page in the page settings of wordpress.
It gives a lot of problems logging in or even show up the password area when loading the page.

Do you have better solutions to protect this simple WordPress toolset form page for my client (to add a sgl product themselves)
The form loads fine when i manage to login (ones and a while it works to login by refreshing the page )

thanks, peter

Hello and thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

I am not sure to understand your request. Are you looking to restrict this page to the administrator only, or to any user that has purchased a special product?

If you would like to restrict it to only administrator users or to a specific user, I'll suggest that you put the form inside a conditional block. The conditional block can be configured to check for the current user role or the current user ID. Does it make sense?
If you are using Toolset Access, you can also restrict the form to a certain role or to a certain user in Toolset->Access Control->Tooslet Forms(tab).

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any questions.

I just want the toolset form used as followes

I made a gutenberg page (i am using DIBI for all other pages) and added a title and the toolset form
Then the page is made viable only with password protected (wordpress feature.
(I don't want to give my client have a role in my wordpress backend as a user)

The password is accepted on the frontend but the form is still hidden

Now i want to try with the next plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/password-protect-page/ and add a shortcode before and after the toolset form module.

Is that gonna work and were to best put these shortcodes?

I am not familiar with this plugin, and I believe you could achieve what you want using only Toolset plugins. So, there won't be a need for an additional plugin.

I have run a test and I was able to put a form on a password-protected page. Guest users can submit new posts after using the page's password. Administrators too.
You can check my test here hidden link password is "password". And then you can log in as an administrator using the following URL and check the newly created post hidden link

So, I am a bit confused. What are you willing to build?
- The form needs to be used only with this user after using the page's password?
- The form can be used by any user who has the password?

This is driving me nuts

Even with the password protect wordpress result no difference
I (as an admin) can get it shown after using the password

But a client can't (tryin this in incognito mode)

Pls try;

hidden link

password; BNSindustrial2021

How did you manage or get your result

I don't want my client to have acces as a user in my wordpress backoffice yet.

So to start;
The form can be used by any user who has the password?

Using the plugin or just wordpress protect page with a password results are the same and all is showing on the page but not the form??

Do i need to alter a setting in toolset or add a user role before you got it working?

No i have it set for anybody with the link and the password

#1977979

If it is of use; i am using DIVI builder but for this form page i made the page in gutenberg and added the toolset form
And in this case the password protect wordpress plugin that uses a shortcode before and after the toolset form (password protected part)
Same result as without the plgin and use wordpress password protect the page (same result all shows but not the form??

You said:
The form can be used by any user who has the password?
And when I used the password on this page hidden link I don't see the form. I suspect that you are activating the Toolset Access plugin. Because I am a guest user, and Toolset Access will prevent me from seeing a form. If that's the case, you need to enable to form for guest users too.

Would you allow me temporary access to your website to check this further? Your next reply will be private to let you share credentials safely. ** Make a database backup before sharing credentials. **

No private acces needed.

You were right, it activated the guest settings in Toolset and i forgot to activate guest access to the Post Forms Frontend Access (group) settings.

All solved now thx a lot
