[Resolved] Product view not correctly applied

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:

The issue here is that the user's product content template is not getting applied to new products.

Solution:

The issue here is that the user had our Layouts plugin installed and had created a blank product layout. So their new products were being assigned to this blank layout.

In this case I would recommend creating your product template with layouts if you intend to continue with layouts.

Or secondly you can just disable layouts and then just set your new products to use your previously created content template.

This support ticket is created 5 years, 7 months ago. There's a good chance that you are reading advice that it now obsolete.

Hi, it seems that the product view content template which I created for single products is suddenly not being correctly applied. See hidden link.

If I look at product which were previously loaded, they are displayed correctly.

Could you please help me troubleshoot this?

I was able to get in now.

Is there a link that you can send me to a product that actually has the correct template applied? This is because i tried applied the Product layout to the items and it still looked the same.

Also the Layout for the product is empty.

In the attached screenshot, the products in the red square all display incorrectly. Any other product does display correctly. Is this related to the latest plugin update perhaps?No other changes were made on this site at all.

DO you intent to use our Layouts plugin to build out your templates?

Hi Lawrence,

So in this case I would recommend that you disable the Layouts plugin and then assign your newly created products to your product content template.

The reason why this occurred is because When Layouts is enabled toolset is expecting you to create your templates exclusively with Layouts so unless the product was assigned to a views content template before then its expecting it to have a Layout assigned.

Thanks Shane. I had to bind the products but they display correctly now. I really appreciate your help.

I am having an issue with the slider on the Home page not displaying when the site is browsed in Internet Explorer. Could you please help me troubleshoot this? Apologies for adding it to this thread but I thought it'd be the easiest.

I'm also having an issue where adding a product does not "stick", when clicking Publish in the add product window I am warned of unsaved changes that may be lost if I leave?
