Good evening.

I use the WordPress theme "TextBook" for my blog. For the display of different archives or search queries I created an Arciv and my own content template with Toolset.

The results are displayed in the form of the toolset content template up to the page break. After the first page break ("Older Posts" button) the arciv template of the topic is loaded.

I want the arciv and template created with the toolset to be loaded even after clicking the "Older posts" button.

What should I do??

Thank you so much!

Best regards

Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

Can you please share problem URL as well as share screenshot of the content which you want to display even after clicking on the pagination link "Older post".

I will require to check if the things are displayed from the theme and if we can control that and if there is any workaround for it.

*** Please make a FULL BACKUP of your database and website.***
I would also eventually need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to your site. Preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible in order to be of better help and check if some configurations might need to be changed.

I have set the next reply to private which means only you and I have access to it.

Ok - great. Thank you for the details.

I will require little more details. Where you added the "Oder post" pagination button? Where I can find that button?

I can see you are using the following archive:
=> hidden link
- But with above archive- I do not see the "Older post" button.

Hello,
correct, I am using archive 8333. There is no buton added there. As far as I know, the button "Older posts" is generated by the Worpress plug-in "Jetpack". Maybe that's the problem?

Kind regards

Yes - 🙂

You need to add pagination button from the WordPress archive itself.

Please check the following Doc for more information about archive pagination:

Hello, I've tried a little. None of the results are satisfactory.

1. If I use the "Older Posts" button from the Jetpack plug-in, there is a known problem that the layout of the theme is loaded after clicking.

2. If I deactivate this button and choose the original pagination of the theme, the entire page is reloaded with each click, which is very user-unfriendly because you have to scroll the pages you have already seen again.

3. If I use a toolset pagination there are 2 main problems:

a: when the page is called up for the first time, the pagination of the theme is also displayed It disappears after clicking from page 2.

b: Controlling the display with the pagination toolset is also very user-unfriendly, because the last post of the new page is usually in the user's field of vision. on the last page even the website footer. It would be user-friendly if the first post on the new page could be seen.
I would like a solution with a button "older posts" or "more posts" which always reloads a certain number of posts by clicking.

Kind regards

Hello,
Problem 3.a: I have now solved it with additional CSS.

A solution for problem 3.b: is still pending and would be very desirable.

Kind regards

For the solution 3b: - have you tried infinite scrolling?

Please check the following Doc:

Hello,

Infinite scrolling is also not an optimal solution. With many posts it is very difficult for the user to get to the footer of my website.

Or?

Kind regards

i'm afraid that I do not have any other solution to offer as there is no other feature available that I should recommend you for pagination.

Maybe you can decrease the number of posts you are displaying with your archive to 10 and use the infinite scrolling if that would help.
