Hi Christian

In this ticket https://toolset.com/forums/topic/how-do-i-add-a-character-counter/ you kindly provided code required to restrict the number of characters a user can add to single line and textarea fields.

I've used the same code on a WYSIWYG field and noticed that the character count the user sees only counts down if they enter text on the 'text' (html) tab; it doesn't count down if they enter text on the 'visual' tab.

Is there a way of adapting the code to work for both tabs on a WYSIWYG field please?

Thank you.

Sorry, there's not a simple way to apply this code in that context, because of how markup is added to the contents of the Visual editor. At this time, the counting mechanism I provided here is limited to the Text panel only.

OK - thanks for confirming.
