I am trying to:
I have a custom field for an image. When I want to add an image, I click select image and it's added in the above field as an url. But when I want to edit this image (let's say the alt tag, title etc..) I click on edit image, but the image is not selected. I just see the whole media library. This is not very logical, especially when you have tons of images. This makes it impossible the edit images in a fast and efficient way.

Where can this be changed so it preselects the image that is chosen?

Hi, I think that this would be a useful feature but currently there is no direct link to a custom field image's attachment details editor from the post editor screen. It would be nice to have the option to either completely change the image or modify its metadata. I encourage you to submit your suggestion over here: https://toolset.com/home/contact-us/suggest-a-new-feature-for-toolset/
This form will put your request in front of those responsible for deciding which features are added in upcoming versions.

If you're looking for a different workflow you can use now, go directly to the Media Library and choose the list view, where you can sort by "Uploaded to". This gives you the ability to find all the images uploaded to a specific post. Then you can make changes to the images' metadata as needed.

A bit disappointing because this seems like a logical function that should already exist. Fine that I can request it, but I need to find an alternative for now which is far from ideal. Thanks for your answer.

I think the workaround I suggested can be achieved without any custom code or 3rd-party tools. It's the most straightforward alternative I can think of right now.
