post type slug with template

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

Everyone can read this forum, but only Toolset clients can post in it. Toolset support works 6 days per week, 19 hours per day.

I am trying to: get WordPress to use a particular template for a custom post type. So for post type factsheet, single-factsheet works, but only if the slug is also factsheet. I want to change the slug to something other than the post type name, but still be able to use my template. Is this possible?

I realized that the template name needs to be single-{slug-name}, not single-{post-type-name}
