[Resolved] Post titles containing an ampersand turn to code when resubmitted

This support ticket is created 5 years, 2 months ago. There's a good chance that you are reading advice that it now obsolete.

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

Everyone can read this forum, but only Toolset clients can post in it. Toolset support works 6 days per week, 19 hours per day.

I am trying to: search post titles

Instead, I got: no results if the post has been resubmitted

Thanks for the details, I have tried it in your website, but can not see the problem as you mentioned above:

this is because i corrected the post title and put the '&' back in. but if the cpt is edited and replushed, it defaults the '&' back to code, and then it doesn't show up in the front end search.

What code does the '&' back to?

I have tried it in my localhost, with below steps:
1) Create a new post, post title is: at&t
2) Save and edit, save above post again, there isn't the problem you mentioned above.

So the problem you mentioned above is abnormal, please check these:
In case it is a compatibility problem, please deactivate all other plugins, and switch to wordpress default theme 2019, and test again
