We ran into a very nasty problem.
The site was basically done and I started to do SEO. Our speed was low so I used wp optimise. After this was done we are not able to edit the forms, When we try and access the form there are no code in the form editor visible nor can you access the css or Js sections. Even doing t export of the form the xml file contains no data

We did restore the back up however the restore did not fix the problem. We do have login credentials ready if needed.

Hello and thank you for contacting Toolset support.

These kinds of errors, with the form editor, are usually caused by a conflict with a 3rd party component(theme or plugin). Please check if this issue appears when:
- Only Toolset plugins are activated. It will tell us if there is an interaction issue with another plugin.
- The theme is set to a WordPress default like Twenty-Twenty. It will tell us if there is an interaction issue with your theme.
If the problem disappears, start activating one at a time to track where the incompatibility is produced.

It is worth mentioning that some Toolset scripts and styles need to be excluded from any optimizing plugin, however, this affects only the frontend, not the backend. https://toolset.com/faq/how-to-use-optimization-plugins-with-toolset/

If that does not help, let me access your website and check it further. Your next reply will be private to let you share credentials safely. ** Make a database backup before sharing credentials. **

I did the plugin exercise and lo and behold it was not rank math that caused the problem. The offending plugin was - Events Shortcodes - The Events Calendar Addon
link. https://wordpress.org/plugins/template-events-calendar/
This plugin was installed from the start of the project and it was a giving intermittent issue with the toolset and it was only the last week that it totally broke the website.

i don't know if you keep a record of problems with other plugins and this one should either be solved or noted

My issue is resolved now. Thank you!
