Post Field Group appears on every taxonomy despite using OR selected terms

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

I created am Post Field Group for custom post type Classified Ads to be displayed/edit on taxonomy Business OR Services.

I expected to see that in edit post Classified Ads post, the post field group only appear in taxonomy Business or Services.

Instead, in the edit post Classified Ads post, this post field group also appear on all other taxonomy besides Business or Services.

Hello and thank you for contacting Toolset support.

Well, you have selected to display the Field Group when any condition is met. This will display the Field Group for all the posts of the "Classified Ads" post type. And for any other post type, when the post is assigned to one of the selected terms.

If you want the group to display only for "Classified Ads" posts that have one of the taxonomy terms assigned, choose the second option "When All conditions are met". Check this screenshot hidden link

Hi,

With hidden link as per your advice, it required both Business AND Services selected Ad categories to display the Fields for Business Ads.

The intention is that Business OR Services Ad Categories selected can display Fields for Business Ads Group for post type Classified Ads only.

I run a test on a clean install and I am afraid what you want to achieve(the OR condition) is not possible. If you select two terms(Business and Services) for the taxonomy, then the fields group won't appear unless you assign both terms to the post. It is not possible to have an OR condition on those terms.

However, you can set the existing group to appear when the "Business" term is assigned. Then, you can create another Field group for the "Services" term, and reuse the same fields on it.

When creating a Field group, it is possible to reuse the same fields on it. Check this screenshot hidden link
