Any attempt to update from Version 1.7.8-beta1 to current version so far as resulted in errors.
Last attempt today was with standard WP theme (updated ver.) and ALL plugins deactivated.
Here are some error messages:

Tried every scenario, including removing TYPES, de-activating all plugins and installing newest version into a standard WP theme.

The problem you mentioned above is abnormal, please try this:
1) deactivate other plugins and switch to wordpress default theme, and test again
2) If the problem still persists, please provide a database dump file (ZIP file) of your website in below private detail box, also point the problem URL, where I can see the PHP error message, I need to test and debug it in my localhost, thanks
