Hi Dee,

Thank you for contacting us and sorry to learn about the difficulty you're having.

Unfortunately, this error can be faced due to a number of reasons and to narrow it down, I'll suggest the following steps:

1. Please turn WordPress debugging on, by adding the following line of code, in your website's "wp-config.php" file, in the root directory:
( ref: https://codex.wordpress.org/Debugging_in_WordPress )

define( 'WP_DEBUG', true );

2. After that, if you see any errors/warnings on screen, in server's error logs or in browser's console ( https://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Your_Browser_to_Diagnose_JavaScript_Errors ), please share them with us.

3. You can re-install WordPress core files, from WP Admin -> Dashboard -> Updates, by clicking the "Re-install Now" button.
(note: this operation will not affect your content like posts, pages, media library items etc)

4. Test to see if the issue persists, with all plugins disabled and with a default WordPress theme like Twenty Seventeen active. In that is the case, it would be best to consult your hosting's support team to check the server's firewall/security settings, and troubleshoot why the website is unable to communicate with the external server, for updates information.

I hope these points will help and let me know how it goes.

regards,
Waqar

Hi Dee,

Your original message was very clear, thank you.

Since I couldn't reproduce the issue on my test websites, and we haven't received any similar reports from other users, this leads to a conclusion that issue is limited to your website or server's environment.

If you're still experiencing this, I'll suggest following those troubleshooting steps and let me know your findings.

Note: The links to the changelog for individual Toolset plugins are also available, on the downloads page:
https://toolset.com/account/downloads/

I hope this clarifies and let me know if you need any further assistance around this.

regards,
Waqar
