Views is able to get all existing post states (statuses) including those declared by plugins or theme.
Please add this to the menu in the post expiration feature of CRED.
It would be great if this post-status menu was dynamically generated instead of fixed standard values as it is now.

I've edited this menu manually to add my own post-status which of course is not good when CRED is updated ...

Hi Tina

Thanks for the feedback

The main problem here is that custom status management in WordPress is not solid yet, and it does not properly work in most of the cases.

There are some relevant tickets related to this:
https://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/12706
which is like 7 years old.

Once WordPress has a complete and valid API to deal with post status values, we will support it everywhere.

Hope it helps.

Yes, I'm aware of that, 7 year old discussion. We could have a long talk about that some day 🙂
But until then (meaning probably never) you could provide a setting page for Cred forms where users can add the user roles they want to be available in that dropdown ...

Hey Tina

Well, we could, but then it might be a little complex to manage such posts. The same way that such custom status values can not be used on a normal, native post editing experience in the backend, we should not ruth them into the frontend diting experience.

Views lets you filter by those post status values because the values are indeed there yet, no data is modified. But CRED does modify data, and unless there is a propr API for this, we probably will wait.

Hope it helps.
