The repeating photo fields were a God sent. Very useful and simplified having to deal with limted amounts of photos per post and other messy things.
What I would love to see (and probably everyone else would also love to see) next, is a better UI from the admin side.
Currently 3-4 clicks are required to upload one photo using the repeating fields. This is ok if you are uploading 3-4 images per post. But if you create views galleries using more than 20 photos (60-80 clicks) , you can see how this becomes a huge time consuming part of creating a new post.

I would like to suggest creating a new interface, or linking into the existing interface, so that multiple images can be uploaded/selected in bulk from the media library. WordPress already uses something similar to create image galleries which can be used in the body of the post.

It would be cool if toolset would allow us to do something similar with custom image repeating fields or even have a new field called Photo Gallery, which would support just that.

Yes, I agree, and we have one major request in the queue majorly for Toolset Forms.

There, the idea is to allow a multiple upload of images, with one action.
So you would choose several images and upload them at once and that would then create items of repeating nature.

But, that request is stalled until other things are implemented in Toolset Forms.

And, in the backend, we have had no request yet for this (since Forms would cover this)
Of course it makes sense thou, to have both features in both ends, but it is still "two pair of shoes".
I added the remark to the primary request to as well think about backend when it comes to bulk uploads.

For now, the only way is a one by one upload - or custom code.
But this sort of custom code doesn't fall under our Support umbrella:

Eventually you can find Contractors who did similar adjustments in past (I know it is possible, as I have seen clients doing it):

This is one of the users I refer to:

I am not sure if that still works but it's worth a try.

That looks like something I would like to try out. Can you please unhide the link in the post so I can try it out?

Thank you

The link is not hidden, please see my last reply, I pasted it so you can see it too:

I as well added a screenshot in case.

Is there any word or update on this?

I'm desperate for this functionality as I want to allow users on the front end to be able to add photos to existing posts.

The whole single image repeater field just seems really clunky and non friendly.

This has been requested for many, many years. From the start, actually. 🙁

Any updates on the bulk image upload?
