I have a slideshow that I created using Views. I've been asked to add the capability to add play and pause buttons to the slideshow for accessibility. Is there anyway to do this?

In looking at the options for slideshows, you can set it to hover on pause. I imagine that this is done via JavaScript. Is there anywhere that documents what JavaScript functions are called? I should be able to reuse those JavaScript calls to create pause and play buttons.
