Tell us what you are trying to do?
I have a directory with various membership levels (A, B, C), which is a custom field. Those membership levels are hidden to the directory user.

A user can search the directory .

I want to display the results of a parametric search of the directory, ordered by the membership levels (all the "A" levels first, then "B" levels and so on).

I know I can sort (the old) View by a custom field, but can I do the same for a parametric search using blocks?

Hi Eve,

Actually yes you can do this with our views plugin.

If you click on the block navigation and select the view, you should see the block sidebar appearing.

From there you should be able to see the ordering settings. See Screenshot

Please let me know if this helps.
Thanks,
Shane
