[Resolved] noautop not removing tags from around body/content

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
Paragraph tags not being removed from shortcodes that render texts with paragraphs.

Solution:
You have a setup like this.

[wpv-noautop][wpv-post-body][/wpv-noautop]

It wont work in a case like this since the [wpv-post-body] shortcode is only getting the already formatted code with the paragraph tags added. Our [wpv-noautop] wont be able to string out the p tags.

The correct format is that you should wrap the content of the paragraph in the wordpress editor with the [wpv-noautop] short.

So the shortcode only strips its immediate values example.

[wpv-noautop]
provider: [wpv-post-field name="provider_type"],
industry: [wpv-post-field name="industry"],
featured: [wpv-post-field name="featured_image"]
[/wpv-noautop]

The above will render without any paragraph tags. So you need to add the shortcode to the post body itself.

It only removes p tags for content placed directly within it and not the content the shortcode within it generates.

I am trying to: print Title, field and body on one line

I visited this URL: localhost

I expected to see: all on one line

Instead, I got: Title and field on one line; and body/content on new line because of < p > tags

Hi Bob,

Thank you for contacting our support.

Lets see how best how I can assist you with this issue 🙂

Please let me know if this helps.
Thanks,

Shane,
Thanks for the quick reply.
Now I know to stop trying to make it work my way.
I'll move the body content into a custom field and all should be well.
If not, be sure I'll get back to you.
Again, thanks.
