[Resolved] No field type for multi-select

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem: I would like to create a multi-select custom field.

Solution: Types does not currently offer a multi-select field type. Checkboxes can be used to capture multiple values in a custom field. Views offers a multi-select filter for custom search views.

I am trying to: Create a select field that allows multi-select and uses Select2

Link to a page where the issue can be seen: hidden link

I expected to see: A field type for multi-select, or an option for the select type to allow multi-select.

Instead, I got: No options for multi-select.

I tried searching your docs and community and lots of people mention an multi-select field but I can't find it. Am running latest beta versions.

Hi, the multi-select field type is not currently offered for custom fields. We offer a multi-select View filter, and a multi-select CRED generic field, but not a multi-select custom field. The checkboxes field type is probably the closest alternative we offer at this time. We have a feature request in place with our developers to add this field type to the custom field options, but I don't have a timeline available for implementation just yet.
