[Resolved] New EU General Data Protection Regulation impact on plugins like Toolset

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The issue here is that the user wanted to know how to be compliant with the new EU General Regulation.

Solution:

Actually this responsibility falls on the user of the plugin however some of these plugins can help to allow your users delete users.
This plugin can be used to delete a user's account
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-delete-user-accounts/

This can be achieved by setting up some auto user delete with the plugin below.

You can also delete the information using this plugin as well

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a new EU regulation aimed at helping to strengthen data protection for EU citizens and residents. It implies several points that could impact the way we are managing the user data :
1. Each time a personal data is requested on the site, we need to explain what is the aim => this could be added on the user form for example.
2. A user should be able to have acces to him personal data to verify them => OK with an edit user form
3. A user should be able to delete his account => what's the best way for this?
4. User data should not be kept more than a limited time => how can we do this for user data an ensure that those data will be erased automatically after a specific timing ?
5. All plugins used in a site should be GDPR compliant, so Toolset should be (and Woocommerce also) which are the 2 main plugins that gather data in a WordPress site today.

Let me know

Pat
