Hi,

I have migrated my website, but I need help with content form which has parent-child relationship. I followed the guide: https://toolset.com/documentation/user-guides/cred-forms-for-child-content/, but it´s missing the "Parents" section in "Add Post Fields". Relationship is set as many-to-many, no intermediary posts.

Hello,

Thank you for contacting our support forum.

It seems that Toolset Forms isn't picking up the relationship between the CPT.

Would you mind allowing me to have admin access so that I can take a look at this for you ?

The private fields have been enabled for your next response.

Thanks,
Shane

Hello,

I was able to identify the issue.

It seems to me that the relationship for the form doesn't work for M2M relationships.

I've escalated this ticket so that more information can be provided on this.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Dave,

I think this issue is caused by a missing intermediary CPT.

You can add an intermediary CPT by going to Toolset -> Relationships and edit the relation and add the intermediary CPT.

Once you have done this please try again.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Shane,

I thought that if you don´t need the intermediary CPT, it is not neccessary to use them.

So for test purpose I have created them, but still nothing...

Also there is the problem with number of "Maximum number of Ebooky possible to asign to one Autor" as I wrote in private message. If I change it to No limit, it will always set up to 16.

Hi Dave,

I did some extensive testing and i'm now able to provide full details on to get this working now.

So essentially in previous versions of toolset Forms then this use to be a one step process. Because of the new methods for the relationships this is now a 2 step process.

Right now you have the form for creating the posts. The next thing you need to do is to create a Relationship Form as this is the new method to connect child posts to Parents. This also works for the M2M relationships.

Now you're going to have to put the relationship form on a separate page and then allow your Toolset Form to redirect to that page that now contains the relationship form.

Thanks,
Shane
