I have Toolset Types & View plugin installed, but these is an issue. Suddenly all of the CPT created with Types are missing from the admin dashboard (left side menu), and when I try to re-create them using the same slug names, it gives me an error saying that it already exists. So I do assume the CPT are still there but hidden, since I checked the database & the exported xml, they still exist.
I had to export the type xml zip file using the 'Export / Import' under Toolset menu from the dev site and import it into the live site. Some of the missing CPT have returned, but not all of them since the dev site doesn't have the most recent ones.
I even tried exporting the type xml zip file using the 'Export / Import' under Toolset from the live site and import it into the dev site to troubleshoot it. The dev site now shows most of the CPT, but still missing one.
Below are the missing CPT before I retrieved it back with the type xml zip file (slug terms):
- shared_story
- 10k-team-member
- expo-map-2018
- race-result
Below are the missing CPT after retrieving back with the type xml zip file (slug terms):
- 10k-team-member
It did import the Custom Fields Group for the '10k-team-member' CPT, but did not import the actual '10k-team-member' CPT.
What is the issue, and what can I do to get the missing CPT back?
I could send you the exported type xml zip file if you want.
Please check this:
Dashboard-> Toolset-> Post types, find and edit those missing post type, in section "Options", enable below two options:
- show_ui
- show_in_menu
Apparently, the CPT doesn't seem to appear in the Post types under Toolset, so I can't go under 'Options'. The missing CPT is called '10K Team Member' (the slug is 10k-team-member), and by looking in the database, I can see that the CPT still exists with the content.
Is there any way to retrieve it back?
Luo is on vacation. This is Minesh here and I'll take care of this ticket. Hope this is OK.
Could you please share access details so I can check what's going wrong on your setup.
*** Please make a FULL BACKUP of your database and website.***
I would also eventually need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to your site. Preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible in order to be of better help and check if some configurations might need to be changed.
I would additionally need your permission to de- and re-activate Plugins and the Theme, and to change configurations on the site. This is also a reason the backup is really important. If you agree to this, please use the form fields I have enabled below to provide temporary access details (wp-admin and FTP).
I have set the next reply to private which means only you and I have access to it.
