Keep getting this error: Your theme’s template file single-business-listing.php for displaying Business Listing items is missing custom fields

I assign content template to post type and I get that, then my template is no longer attached to the post type.; WHAAT.

Hi, this message serves as a reminder to create a Content Template to apply to some post type, and doesn't necessarily indicate an error:
"Your theme’s template file single-business-listing.php for displaying Business Listing items is missing custom fields"

If you assign a Content Template to the single Business Listing post type, then it is normally executed within the context of the single-business-listing.php template file. I'm not sure I understand what you mean by the template becoming detached - are you talking about the Content Template, or the PHP template file?

I am doing as you say, applying a content template to the post type. Within one or two page loads, the content template is no longer assigned.
