I am trying to use the dropdown sort functions from my View to pull up different result categories/taxonomies.

Link: hidden link

I expected to see the correct number of posts that are tagged with the corresponding Domain, Application, or Method, as illustrated under Taxonomies.

Instead, I got no results at all.

Please advise.

Hello,

You need to add a placeholder value into search field "Lead Author", for example:
Edit the page you mentioned above, find and select search field "Lead Author" block, in the block setting panel, add some value into option "Dropdown Placeholder", see my screenshot

And test again
