Hi there,

I have parent posts (Area) with their child posts (Sectors). Each child has one location, and I would like to have a general map showing all locations from all parents.

Sector (map at the bottom): hidden link
General Map: hidden link

had it before but something went wrong and not working anymore 🙁

Could you help fixing this?
Thank you so much
Ivan

Hi Ivan,

Thank you for contacting us and I'd be happy to assist.

To troubleshoot this, I'll suggest the following steps:

1. Please make sure that WordPress, active theme and all plugins are updated to the latest versions.

2. It would be a good idea to make a complete backup copy of the website and then test this with all non-Toolset plugins disabled and a default theme like Twenty Twenty.

If the issue is fixed, you can start adding the disabled items, one-by-one, to narrow down to a possible conflict.

3. In case the issue still persists, you're welcome to share temporary admin login details so that I can see how the view and the map are set up.

Note: Your next reply will be private and please make a complete backup copy, before sharing the access details.

regards,
Waqar

Hi Ivan,

Thank you for sharing the admin access.

I've checked the "Sectors Map" page ( hidden link ) and noticed that it includes the shortcode "wpv-map-render" for the map, but nothing for the map markers.

To show a general map for all locations from the sectors, you'll need a post view that gets the list of all the "Sectors" posts.

Once the view has been created, you can include the map's shortcode ( ref: https://toolset.com/documentation/user-guides/maps/maps-shortcodes/#wpv-map-render ) outside the view's loop so that it shows just once and include the map marker's shortcode ( ref: https://toolset.com/documentation/user-guides/maps/maps-shortcodes/#wpv-map-marker ) inside the loop, so that it repeats for each post.

You'll find more details on the topic, in this guide:
https://toolset.com/documentation/user-guides/maps/display-on-google-maps/displaying-markers-on-google-maps/

I hope this helps and please let me know if you need any further assistance around this.

regards,
Waqar
