Map search shows no result for one specific city

Since I couldn't reproduce this behavior on a couple of test websites that I worked on, it would be difficult to comment on exactly what caused this.

I suspect that the address 'Halifax, NS, Canada' was saved, but then its record was overridden with the manually picked pin location. And since, its coordinates already existed in the map's cache database, for future queries, those same incorrect coordinates kept on repeating.
