[Resolved] Location of custom fields on post edit screen

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:

The problem here is that the user's custom fields were in the wrong location on their post edit screen.

Solution:
To move the custom field group section on your edit screen you can simply click and hold the area where the field group title is and than drag the entire section to the appropriate area where you want it to be placed.

Hi there,

This may not be a Toolset issue as much as a WordPress issue. For some time, the custom fields we'd created appeared below the block editor on the post edit screen. The other day we noticed that the custom fields had migrated to the right column, making the content in the custom fields very difficult to edit.

Please see the attached screenshot. How can we move the fields back under the block editor?

Thank you.

Saul

Hi Saul,

Thank you for getting in touch.

To get this area back under your content you can simply just click and hold the area where the field group title is and than drag the entire section to the appropriate area where you want it to be placed.

Thanks,
Shane

Shane,

Thanks for your response. When I try to drag and drop the section, I can only seem to move it within the right column (and within the other groups of custom fields) and cannot place it elsewhere.

Nevermind. I found a work-around. For anyone else plagued by this issue, I temporarily enabled the native custom fields, then moved the Toolset fields to the desired location, then disabled the native custom fields. To toggle the native custom fields, look under the block editor preferences > Panels.
