Toolset Blocks somehow loads fontawesome from CDN :

hidden link

how can i disable it / load it local ?

#1865553

Hi,

Thank you for waiting.

During testing on my website, I couldn't find any call to font-awesome font file from CDN.
( on the front-end or in the admin area )

The Toolset plugins seem to load this font locally from within the plugin files.

Can you please test on your website with only Toolset plugins and a default theme like Twenty Twenty? It is possible that some other plugin, the active theme, or some custom code is making this call to the CDN hosted font file.

In case, you still see this, you're welcome to share temporary admin login details along with an example page where this can be seen.

Note: Your next reply will be private and please make a complete backup copy, before sharing the access details.

Waqar

Hi Waqar

thanks for looking into this.

Just plain installed Toolset plugins don't load FontAwesome - but as soon as creating a View in Toolset Blocks with a Toolset Button Block where you add an Icon by using the option from the Button Settings it calls the the Icon via CDN.

If the Icon is cleared in the Button Settings then there is no FontAwesome loaded.

Maybe it would be helpful pointing this out in the settings, as it impacts the Core Web Vitals and/or have an option to load FontAwesome from a local source.

Best Regards, Peter

Hi Peter,

Thank you for sharing these details and I was able to see the Font Awesome loaded from the CDN.

I've shared this with the concerned team for a review and will update you once I'll hear back from them.
