Tell us what you are trying to do?
I am building a site with a database of people using Toolset that needs to be available in english and french. I am using WPML to handle the multilingual functionality. I have built the 'Archive' page for the 'People' content type and it works as expected in english. I have translated the Toolset People archive page using the WPML built in translator, but when I am on the english People page, the language switcher shows no link to the french page. If I type in the french page URL, the header is in french, and some of the form element terms are in french, but nothing else is translated.
Is there any documentation that you are following?
Nope.
Is there a similar example that we can see?
'People' directory page in english: hidden link
'Personnes' directory page in french: hidden link
What is the link to your site?
hidden link
Hi,
Welcome to Toolset support. The content of the Archive should be available in the Advanced Translation Editor. Also the string that are not translated might be generated by the plugins and need to be checked in WPML > String Translation.
The posts themselves are translated and shown in the French language.
Please consider that if a post is not translated, it will not show up in French.
If the string translation problem persists, I'd appreciate it if you could give me the URL/User/Pass of your WordPress dashboard after you make sure that you have a backup of your website.
It is absolutely important that you give us a guarantee that you have a backup so if something happens you will have a point of restore.
Make sure you set the next reply as private.
Thanks.
Hi,
Thank you, I went to WPML > Support > ATE Error log and found out, The Event Calendar plugin prevented the translation from getting completed 100%.
I deactivated that plugin and the result is that the completed and sort options are also showing in French.
Thanks.
That plugin is hard to love.
Thank you for figuring this out.
