Tell us what you are trying to do?

I have my staging site on hidden link
On staging I am doing my upgrades and test them. I move the tested version to production on hidden link
The license key is registered on hidden link
In the plugins page all Toolset items are labeled with " You are using an unregistered version of Toolset and are not receiving compatibility and security updates." and upgrades do not work.

How to proceed, so that I can test my upgrade on staging?

Hi,

Welcome to Toolset support and I'd be happy to assist.

Each Toolset key can be activated only on a single website, whose site URL was used to generate it. And the automatic plugin update feature for Toolset plugins can only be used on a website, where a Toolset site key is activated.

Based on these points, you have these options:

1. If you always apply the plugin updates and test them on the development website first, and then push all the changes to the production, then you can delete the Toolset site key for the production website and instead generate a new one for the development website and activate it there.

This way, you'll be able to apply the automatic plugin updates on the development website, and when you'll push the changes on the production website, the plugins will be updated there as well.

OR

2. If for some reason you'd prefer to keep the Toolset site key activated on the production website, then you'll need to update the Toolset plugins manually on the development website. You can download them from the downloads page at:
https://toolset.com/account/downloads/

I hope this helps and please let me know if you need any further assistance around this.

regards,
Waqar
