[Resolved] licence issue after import backup with duplicator

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:

I'm creating my site in a subdomain under test.
I have associated that domain with toolset.

I create a backup of my site with duplicator.
then i have update wpml but i have a big issue and my site was a white page.

I tried to resolve via ftp by deleting the wpml folders but I did not solve it. So I deleted all the files and I imported my backup with duplicator.
Now my site is online, everything works correctly again and I do not see the wpml update notifications that caused me to crash before.

But i have a toolset issues of my licence.
The domain is the same!

the notify of issue in backend:
"Remember to register Toolset. Registration gives you automatic updates for stability, performance and security."

If i click on "register toolset" i see the commercial page of plugin but i cannot insert my code.

Solution:

It seems that there are some broken files in your website, see similar thread in WPML:
https://wpml.org/forums/topic/no-repositories-defined-cant-register-my-license/

I suggest you delete WPML plugin and Types plugin, and download the latest version of them, and test again.

Dear Rita,

It seems that there are some broken files in your website, see similar thread in WPML:

I suggest you delete WPML plugin and Types plugin, and download the latest version of them, and test again.

I read the post you recommended. But if I disable and then uninstall WPML (and its extensions) and TOOLSET (and its extensions) I lose all my data?
How can I recover them? are they shown again as soon as I reinstall the two plugins? both the translations and my cpt, taxonomy etc?

Q1) I lose all my data?
No, all settings are saved in the database, so after you remove plugins files, it won't lose your data

Q2) How can I recover them? are they shown again as soon as I reinstall the two plugins?
Yes, delete the plugins files, install the plugin again, you should be able to see those custom post types/taxonomy after you activate Types plugin again.

And I suggest you backup your website first.

Hi Luo! Thank you so much for your answers.

you've been an angel!

I solved this way:

- I downloaded the repositories.xml file of wpml
- I added the file in the wpml plugin (looking at your guide)
- I did a search for updates (has found wpml updates to be made)
- The notification appeared that I had to enter a valid license code for both wpml and toolset
- I clicked on the "register wpml" notification and ended up on the page with wpml and toolset in which I could enter the license codes for both

Everything works and is correctly updated.

I wrote to you because this could help other users in my situation.
