There is an update available to Layouts (to 2.6.7) required for 5.6 compatibility, but it is currently not showing up as an available update in the plugins pages, you will need to update manually with the zip file available from the legacy tab at toolset.com/account/downloads
Can you please try updating and then see if you still have problems?
Can you elaborate more on each of the issues that you are seeing?
Maybe the database has been corrupted after the WordPress update. Do you have a backup of the website before updating WordPress? If yes, please restore it. Update Toolset plugins first, then update WordPress to the latest release.
Please remember, that it is very important to always take a full backup before any updates. We recommend performing the updates on a staging site before doing it on the live site.
yes, we have already restored and then upgrade the db and plugins.
Once I am on the layout screen, it seems like the whole dashboard freezes up. No matter what I click on it just makes another URL, like in the last screen shot.
So, to what point, how far back do we restore? Previous DB and Core 5.X and Toolsets plugins (views, types, and layouts)?
We make a clone copy of the live site... do you want to access it? hidden link
What does this mean? "Use this layout for 279 floor plans"
The layout is assigned to the custom post type "Floor plan", but it is not assigned anymore to these 279 posts. If you click on it it will assign it to them.
The sidebar issue is not present anymore on the Luna post. I guess that the post was not having the layout assigned and is part of the 279 posts with no layout assigned.
So, rolling back the website, then upgrading the plugins and WordPress did not help, right? The layouts are not assigned and you can't edit any layout right?
Yes, please make a clone of the website and let us check it. Please provide FTP access too in case we need to activate debugging or to use a script for database checks. Your next reply will be private to let you share credentials safely.
ok, we have the editor successfully working on our dev website and pushed the corrections to our production website. So, this issue is less urgent now.

The only issue we see now is that the editor is not working on the production website, as you mentioned, possibly due to the unassigned layouts. (see screenshots)
