Hi,
My current situation:
- I have two Custom Post Types - Activities and Attachments
- There is a many-to-many relationship set between Activities and Attachments
- The Attachments CPT has a hierarchical custom taxonomy - Attachment Type - e.g. Image, Publication (with sub-terms report, brochure, etc)
- I am using the standard back-end editor to manage both of these CPTs.

In the edit screen for an Activity, when I click the default "Add new Attachment" button, I get a popup which lets me enter all of the information for the custom fields of the Attachment CPT, EXCEPT for the "Attachment Type" taxonomy. I have to go to the newly added Attachment and set the taxonomy as a second step.

Is it possible to set the taxonomy term in this default popup? I could change the taxonomy to be a "Select" custom field, but that loses some functionality. I could also build a custom series of front-end forms of course, but that currently isn't required.

Regards,
Jonathan.

Dear Jonathan,

Thanks for the details, but unfortunately, there isn't such kind of built-in feature within Toolset plugins, either in admin side or front-end, you can add a feature request for it:
https://toolset.com/home/contact-us/suggest-a-new-feature-for-toolset/
Our developers will evaluate it.

Issue is not resolved as the feature is missing. I have submitted a feature request.
