I am trying to: Add an internal title to a field group

I expected to see: The title

Instead, I got: blank

I have a field group and need to give each new entry a name for recognition in the admin screen. I can add the title but on update the title is not saving.

Hi, let's try these troubleshooting steps first:
- Be sure to test with basic Latin text characters to rule out any special character issues.
- Twirl open each RFG and confirm there are no validation errors. If a field was empty when you created this RFG but you recently made that field required, this could produce a validation error preventing the RFG update.
- Open the browser console and watch to see if any JavaScript errors are generated when you attempt to update the title.
- Deactivate any custom code snippets in Toolset > Settings > Custom code.
- Temporarily deactivate all plugins except Types and Views, and activate a default theme like Twenty Nineteen. Since you're on a multisite network, it might make the most sense to try this on a staging environment.
- If the problem is resolved, reactivate your theme and other plugins one by one until the problem returns. Try to pin down one specific component causing this conflict.
- If the problem is not resolved, I can take a closer look. Go to Toolset > Export / Import and export all the Types information for me. Upload that file somewhere and provide a download link in the private reply fields here. Private fields mention a Duplicator package but any download link is fine.

Hi,

This issue is related to the object-cache, with object cache turned off the internal field name saves. Obviously turning the cache off is not a fix, but hope it helps you diagnose the issue quickly.

best regards

Stephen

Okay thanks, I'm asking my 2nd tier team to take a look because we just had a similar report on a Siteground environment with their caching system active. I'll let you know what I find out.

Hello again, our developers have put together a tentative fix for this issue. They would like to try out the fix on your site, and since it's a multisite I think it's most practical to try it on a staging environment in case there are unexpected results. If you have a staging environment available and would like to participate in the trial of this development version of the software, we will need your permission to access the server with both SSH and WP Superadmin privileges.

Hello,

I've created a staging environment at the domain thepixelpioneer.com this can be safely used for testing.

Stephen

Thank you, I'm passing that information along to my 2nd tier team.

Hi, Types 3.3 has just been released, including a permanent fix for this issue. Please update to the latest version of all Toolset plugins and confirm the problem is resolved. If not, let me know. Thanks!
