Tell us what you are trying to do?
Insert the "edited" or "scaled" image into a Toolset Gallery.

When I select to insert an edited photo into a gallery, the original gets inserted. I do not want the original image, I wanted the updated photo because it might be rotated, cropped, etc. No matter what I select, the original version gets added to the field.

Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

Can you please share what image size you chose from "Gallery Settings" tab? With my test site I chose the thumbnail and I can see it does display the thumbnail image on frontend.

Can you please share screenshot of your gallery block settings?

I would like to have debug information that will help us to debug and investigate your issue:

Hi Minesh,
The issue is not with the thumbnail but with the large image that opens when you click on the thumbnail. The thumbnail is displaying the correct size. The large version needs to open the edited photo, and not the original. You can go to the latest Gallery page created to see what I mean.

Thanks!

Based on the debug information you shared with us, I found that you are using outdated Toolset plugins as well as WordPress version.

- Please update WordPress version to latest one.
- Please update Toolset plugins to latest version:

Could you please try to follow the following steps:
- Deactivate and delete the Toolset plugins from your plugins page
- Try to download the latest Types plugin and install and activate it from your plugins page. You can download latest Types plugins from your account's download page:
=> https://toolset.com/account/downloads/

Once the latest Types plugin is installed and registered:

You can add other add-on Toolset plugins using installer:

you said:

The large version needs to open the edited photo, and not the original. You can go to the latest Gallery page created to see what I mean.

Where you created the new Gallery page? Can you please show me and share few screenshot that should help me to understand the issue.

Hi Minesh,

I will do that. Can you please make this private so I can paste the URLs of what I'm seeing and what I'm expecting to see.

Thanks!

Do you mean to say that when you click on the 2nd image and it shows the popup for the popup that displays the image you replace the URL for thumbnail with same image name that popup displays from media library so that you can see the different image when user click on the 2nd image?

#2415563

Hi Minesh,
This is what happens.

User uploads image. Then he edits image, for example, he rotates the image, or makes it smaller. Saves image with changes. Then he creates a post and inserts this updated image. When he inserts the updated image into the image field, Toolset enters the "original" image. That's why you are seeing that photo that is not rotated. We need the updated image to be inserted. The thumbnail is correct, but Toolset it linking to the original image.

Thanks!

I tried to follow that you say but maybe I get it wrong.

Here is the auto-login link to the site where we can make a test:

This is the content template used to display single Gym post where I've added gallery block at bottom:

At bottom of the following post I've added the gallery which displays multiple images.
hidden link

Here is the edit post page link for the above post "Downtown Fitness Center":
- hidden link
Where:
- I try to flip the image for the field "Gym Photo Gallery" upside down for the first image. When I display the gallery on frontend it does display the upside down updated photo and when I click on the image it again displays the upside down photo.

Am I missing anything here? Do I need to upload another image or you want different images with gallery and when you click on image it should display another different image?

Thank you very much Minesh. Indeed, I am seeing the same issue on the test site. I uploaded a photo of an airplane, then I scaled it to 1200px wide. Then I rotated the image, and Saved.

I edited the Downtown Fitness Center page and inserted the image at the bottom. When you click on the airplane thumbnail, it goes to the original image, and not the one I edited.
It should link to this image:

BUT
It's linking here:

Check here please: hidden link

I see the issue and I've escalated it to our next level support. Please hold on for further updates and in the meantime I will check if I can able to share any workaround with you.

I just wanted to know on additional thing, we can see the issue with the setup you shared but we are missing some step here.

Here is a sandbox site again:
=> hidden link
( tssupp / tssupp )

This is the post where two images available and rotated:
=> hidden link

On frontend, with lightbox as well we see the rotated image: hidden link

Could you please help us and share what exactly the step we miss here that should help us to reproduce the issue?
- What we done is we uploaded image first time and save the post. Then again edit the post and replace the image and then rotated the image and save it and when we check on frontend it shows the correct rotated image. Even we tried to scale the image but that also works. It looks like we are missing here key step, would you be kind to share that information.

#2418695

Ok, this is what I did.

1. Upload image to Media Library.
2. Edit image to rotate it
3. Save Changes
4. Insert image into post
hidden link

Same result as last time.

Thanks!

This is really strange. I went to Media and uploaded the new image and rotate it and then I've added it to the post. But can see its working. You can see the butterfly image:

Would you mind to share video recording that will help to see what exactly the steps you follow.
