Tell us what you are trying to do?
I have created a parent CPT of 'series' which has children with CPT 'messages'.

When I view the single post page for messages I want the URL to include the parent like this:

domain/parent-cpt/parent-cpt-term/child-cpt-single

instead I get:

domain/child-cpt-term/child-cpt-single

I have spent quite a lot of time reading past forum posts on this. Most of them are 2+ years old and most indicate there isnt a good way to do this. I am asking the question again in the hope that there is now a good solution. Or perhaps I am just not finding it in what has already been posted

Thank you

Dear Joe,

You are right, there isn't such a built-in feature within Types plugin and there isn't a good way to do this.

The feature request of similar thread had been reject, our developers feedback it is not the nature feature of WordPress, the permalink structure is not supported by WordPress.

If you agree, we can put this post and your comment into our to-do list, hope it can raise developers attention.

Yes I agree with adding this request to the to-do list.

I believe I have seen this done on other wordpress sites, so I dont think it is a limitation of wordpress but of toolset. Whether or not it gets added is of course up to the developers.

thank you
