I'm moving my site to a new server and I'm trying to import the Types that I exported from the existing site.

I get a bunch of errors like this:

---
Error parsing XML

StartTag: invalid element name

expected '>'

Opening and ending tag mismatch: taxonomies line 715 and unparseable

Opening and ending tag mismatch: type line 691 and taxonomies

Opening and ending tag mismatch: types line 690 and type

Extra content at the end of the document

Data not valid
---

I'm on an older version of Toolset (2.2.14) so I'm not able to upgrade without buying a license.

Is there any way to fix these errors manually in the XML file? I'm not seeing what the issue is.

Hello,

Since you are using the old version of Toolset Types plugin 2.2.14, it might conduct unexpected result, if you want to migrate all of your website data from one website name to another, you can follow our document to migrate the data:
https://toolset.com/faq/how-do-i-migrate-a-wordpress-site-from-one-domain-to-the-other/

And to avoid other compatibility issues, I recommend you to upgrade your Toolset license to get the latest version of Toolset plugins:

Yeah I think my best bet will be to just copy the database. I was trying to do a fresh WordPress install and then use all the import/export tools to bring over content. If I can't get the Toolset import to work that's probably my only option.

Is there a way to extract the custom types and taxonomies that I created with Types so they will work without the plugin installed? Or will they continue to work without the plugin once they are set up? I don't need any of the other features so paying for a license isn't really feasible for me right now.

For the new question:
Is there a way to extract the custom types and taxonomies that I created with Types so they will work without the plugin installed?
Without Toolset Types plugin, those custom types and taxonomies won't be able work in your website, but you can setup custom PHP codes to create those custom types and taxonomies manually, see WordPress document:
