Hello, I'm trying to update our site to use Woocommerce. I've moved a copy of our site to a development environment and installed a template that used WooCommerce. Can I import all our products into WooCommerce? The old custom fields are visible in the product admin, but not visible on the product page.

I've attached a screenshot of the custom field Product Details in the WP admin. I'd like fields such as the product images and documents to show on the product page.

Here's a link to the same product on the old site:

And here it is on the dev site:

As you can see only the product description is displayed.

Hello there,

Since you checked that the custom fields are available in the back end but not in the front end, this issue seems rather a problem with the template that is not configured to show all the custom fields.

You'd need to customize the template so it displays all the fields you want to show.

If the template in the older site was created using the Legacy Toolset Layouts, it is possible to export it from the old site to the new one.

The design templates can be exported by going to Toolset -> Export/Import. This will allow you to export your Types custom fields and post types, Forms , access etc.

However if you need to export your Views/Content template you will need to do it using our Toolset Module Manager plugin.
https://toolset.com/account/downloads/#legacy-plugins

The plugin can be downloaded from the link above. This will allow you to create modules of your various Toolset components and export them together.

If the template was created with Toolset Blocks, currently there's no built-in way of exporting it with Toolset. You'd have to use a third-party solution such as WP All Import / Duplicator for example.

Thank you,
Mateus

Hi,

The products seem to have been imported into WooCommerce but there seems to be a conflict between the plugind which means the product featured image is not displayed.
Eg. Here is the dev site with woocommerce installed
hidden link
Here's how the page should look - with the featured image:
hidden link

Thanks,
Jane

Hello Jane,

I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take better look at the issue. You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.

Our Debugging Procedures

I will be checking various settings in the backend to see if the issue can be resolved. Although I won't be making changes that affect the live site, it is still good practice to backup the site before providing us access. In the event that we do need to debug the site further, I will duplicate the site and work in a separate, local development environment to avoid affecting the live site.

Privacy and Security Policy

We have strict policies regarding privacy and access to your information. Please see:
https://toolset.com/purchase/support-policy/privacy-and-security-when-providing-debug-information-for-support/

**IMPORTANT**

- Please make a backup of site files and database before providing us access.
- If you do not see the wp-admin/FTP fields this means your post & website login details will be made PUBLIC. DO NOT post your website details unless you see the required wp-admin/FTP fields. If you do not, please ask me to enable the private box. The private box looks like this: hidden link

Please, let me know if you need any additional details. Have a nice day.

Hi, Please can you resend the link so that I can provide access to wp-admin and ftp? I submitted them last week but this thread doesn't seem to have updated. Many thanks.

To display single product related information on frontend single product post - you will have to create single post content template.

Please check the following Doc:

You may want to check the following course and learn how you can build WooCommrece Site using Toolset:

More info:

I suggest best option for you to learn Toolset quickly and export its capabilities:

You can use our free test platform http://www.discover-wp.com and use any of our reference site that is build on top using Toolset features.

This will allow you to create a test site or our free test platform: http://www.discover-wp.com
- https://discover-wp.com/site-templates/

In your case I suggest you check the following reference site:

Choosing the theme is also a critical part so please check the Toolset theme integration:

In addition to that - if you want to install any of our reference site we offer on http://www.discover-wp.com on your local machine or server, you can use the framework installer plugin:

Once you create test site using any of the reference site on your local machine or server - you can add your additional plugins or add your desired theme and check and play with that that will allow you to explore features and functionalities build on top using Toolset.

By following this path you will have hand-on experience about how you can implement the functionality using Toolset or check the existing features of the current referent site that will give you idea how its built.
