[Resolved] I made a mistake and I do not know how to continue

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
When and how to use Layouts plugin

Solution:
The Layouts plugin works with any theme. If your theme is not integrated with Layouts, you can use it to design the content part, just like with a classic page-builder.

However, if your theme is integrated with Layouts, you are able to create layout templates for whole post types and design every part of your site, including the header, content, sidebars, and footer.

You can find proposed solution, in this case, with the following reply:

Hi there,

I assigned a layout (using Toolset Layouts) to a custom post type (boats).

This was totaly wrong because it crashes the whole themes layout (I am using Ronneby Theme).

The solution to get back to the Themes Layout is to deactivate the Toolset Layouts plugin (which I did right now).

Have I understood that correctly? The Toolset Layouts plugin is for the design of an entire site with all page components. And therefore it affects theme templates?

If it's just page content - posts and single posts, then content templates or views should be used. So there is no need for the Toolset Layouts plugin if theme templates should remain the same...?

THANK YOU!
Wolfgang

Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

Well -The Layouts plugin works with any theme. If your theme is not integrated with Layouts, you can use it to design the content part, just like with a classic page-builder.

However, if your theme is integrated with Layouts, you are able to create layout templates for whole post types and design every part of your site, including the header, content, sidebars, and footer.

Here is the recommended themes for Layouts:
