Minesh, I don't see that option of separating results from search fields.
I see a disabled toggle button, hovering which I see a tooltip which says something like this:
"Currently, a View must have a View Output. In the future, we will allow you to turn off this option. For example, this will allow you to detach the custom search from custom results."
You did not shared the debug information so I am not sure yet if you are using older version or what.
If you can share access details and problem URL where you added the view I am happy to look at the issue.
*** Please make a FULL BACKUP of your database and website.***
I would also eventually need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to your site. Preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible in order to be of better help and check if some configurations might need to be changed.
I have set the next reply to private which means only you and I have access to it.
You must be missing something here. Let me try to me it easy for you:
- Create a new page "A" and Create a new block view "list-all-courses-with-cs" , please make sure to activate the "search" option and setup your view's loop and save your page.
- Now, create a anew page "B", add the view block and chose the existing view you created "list-all-courses-with-cs" and on right panel you will see the options for either you want to display search form or search result.
it worked! However, there is one thing, which you may already know about and which should be addressed in your future releases.
The option to choose view, i.e. whether to show form or results or both, appears only when you remove the block and re-add. This options doesn't appear if we save the page and refresh or add a new page with results or basically do anything. It only appears when we remove the View block and re-add it on the page.
I hope you guys address this issue in future. Looking forward.
Thank you for your help, Minesh.
You may close ticket now. I'll create a new one if I face further issue(s).
