Hello,

We cannot assign an articles cpt to a parent newsletter cpt. The newsletter and articles aren't scheduled to be published for a few weeks, but we have 30 pages or so to add and assign post relationships at regular intervals.

How do we setup post relationships when the parent and child pages are scheduled to be published?

Thanks,

Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

Well - could you please share your exact requirement with test case example or with few screenshots that will help me to understand your exact requirement and I will be able to guide you in right direction.

Create a Parent CPT, then use it to create a page called "parent" and schedule it to publish next week.

Create a Child CPT, then use it to create a page called "child", click save as draft. Then under "Post Relationship" we're unable to assign the "child" page to the "parent" page. "parent" doesn't appear under the "search for Parents" field. (Probably because it is 'scheduled' and not 'published')?

We'll need a way to be able to assign multiple child pages to a parent page before they are 'published'. e.g. while they are all 'scheduled' to publish.

When you say create parent and child CPT entry - are you aim to create it using backend (admin) or using CRED plugin?

They are CPT's created with Toolset. You did't know Toolset can create Custom Post Types?

Can you assign the ticket to a support tech that's familiar with Post Relationships and Custom Post Types with Toolset?

I had marked Post Relationships as the category for this support ticket.

Thanks,

Hello,

You are right, that is expected result.

In the "search for Parents" field, it only display posts in below status:
- publish
- private

It does not display scheduled posts("future" status), if you agree, we can take it as a feature request, our developers will evaluate it.

Currently, you can save the parent "newsletter" post as private status, and test again.

Hi Luo,

We're using the Toolset 3.0. Posts that are set to Private do not show up in the list either.

Thanks for the feedback, you are right, in the beta version of Types plugin In the "search for Parents" field, it only display posts in "publish" status, it does not display scheduled posts("future" status), there isn't any other existed workaround, if you agree, we can take it as a feature request, our developers will evaluate it.
