Drag and drop.jpg

I'm new to Toolset and I'm following the videos to create a page with search criterium.

After adding my dynamic links to the Search boxes, I now want to make it look nicer, rather than 2 search boxes being full length. So as suggested, I created a container with 3 columns, but for the life of me, there is no way I can drag the individual blocks into their own column? How on earth is this done? On all the videos, it shows on top of the blocks, Toolset icons that you can do things, but I have them all at the top of the page?

I know I'm a novice to Toolset and your editor, as I've been so used to Divi for the past 5-6 years, but it feels very antiquated in comparison. I was lead to believe when searching for dynamic content directories, that I could integrate content using Divi to format the pages as I want them, and that's why I recommended it to my client but have now read, that you can't integrate both Toolset and Divi on the same page, which I hasten to say, I haven't done so. So I'm left struggling with the formatting.

I've created posts which wouldn't show the nav menu, after using Divi builder to set a template to present the same hero I want, so gave up on that.

What can you suggest to help me, as I've spent all day on this? There doesn't seem to be a video that shows the basics of how to move stuff around.

Hi Stephanie,

Thank you for getting in touch.

Currently when you click on any of the search elements you should see a pair of arrows. If you long press and hold any of the arrows you should be able to drag them to where you want it.

However it should be noted that you must have first setup a 3 column block in order to do this. There should a columns block that you can add.

Please let me know if you're able to find these elements.
Thanks,
Shane

Thank you Shane for responding.

Sadly no arrows come up at all, that's why I'm saying. As per my image I sent yesterday, you will have seen I'd created the three columns so I could drag the search elements into their appropriate columns, as demonstrated on the video I was looking at.

Regards
Stephanie

My issue is resolved now. I had Block Editor chosen in the Toolset settings, as soon as I changed it to Divi Editor, I then saw the icons on top of the elements and was able to drag and drop. Blimey what a rigmarole!
