In the process of rebuilding the look and feel of our website, we set up a clone in a staging setup. We have added the new address into our account, but the instructions say to download a new copy of Toolset Types. We do not want to lose the content structure of the site. Would installing a new copy of Toolset to the staging site remove all the structures we cloned?

Hi,

Thank you for contacting us and I'd be happy to assist.

Toolset's settings and data are saved in the database and not in the plugin files. For this reason, it is perfectly safe to install and activate the new copies of Toolset plugins.

regards,
Waqar

This does not work. The fact that the site is a clone means that the old key is in the plugin, but it will not allow me to replace the old key with a new key. I have even deleted the plugin and reinstalled, but I cannot get the new key into the system.

Thanks for writing back.

Can you please go to WP Admin -> Plugins -> Add New -> Commercial and see if there is a link "Unregister Toolset from this site"?
( example screenshot attached )

Once you've used this link to unregister the old site key, you'll see the option to enter the newly generated site key.
