We've got a site which uses the 'relationship' field for selecting authors - at the moment it orders them from A to Z, but we'd like to be able to change the order.

Hi Jack,

Thank you for waiting.

I'm afraid, currently, there is no builtin feature or function available, which can be used to set the custom order for the connected posts, on the post edit screen.

You're welcome to submit a feature request for this through our dedicated form:
https://toolset.com/home/contact-us/suggest-a-new-feature-for-toolset/

Note: It is possible to control the order of these connected posts when showing them on front-end using a post view, through that view's "Order by" option:
https://toolset.com/documentation/post-relationships/how-to-display-related-posts-with-toolset/#displaying-many-related-items

regards,
Waqar
