Hello Toolset folks,

I'm working with nested views and I like to hide some of the views from the shortcode selection in the post editor. Is this possible? The "child views" should not be available in the editor (for all roles). With this I want to prevent users choosing the wrong views.

Best regards
Matthias

Hi Matthias,

Thank you for contacting us and I'll be happy to assist.

I'm afraid, there is no direct PHP filter or CSS IDs/classes available to limit the list of available views through custom code.

To achieve this, you'll need to add complex JavaScript code, which is beyond the scope of support that we provide. You can consider, hiring a professional from our list of recommended contractors, as needed:

A simpler workaround can be to add a special text ( e.g. "- child" or "- do not use" ) at the end of the title for these views so that users can distinguish them from regular/parent views.

regards,
Waqar

My issue is resolved now. Thank you!
I already use "Do not use" hints in the title of the views. That should be ok.
