I would like to hide the reset button until user perform a search or apply a filter, or automatically reset the search field after submit

Basically, you need to add custom JS or use the existing JS hooks offered by Toolset.
But first of all I would like to know how you build your view, using block or classic view. Can you please share problem URL where you added your view that will help me to review your view and then I will be able to guide you in the right direction.
