I am trying to: use Gutenberg blocks and couldn't figure out why they weren't appearing. I deactivate plugins, and they finally appeared when I deactivated Toolset.

It's a brand new website, running WP 5.3. I'm also using a StudioPress theme (MagazinePro) with Genesis installed. Can you help me?

Types includes settings for whether given post types should use the block editor or the classic editor, including the built-in "Post" type and pages.

Can you check what those settings are at Toolset > Post types and confirm that they are set to use the block editor.

I would have to create a fresh test site to double-check, but I don't think it ordinarily disables the block editor by default on the built-in post types.

In any case, if you find that the settings say that the block editor should be used but when you edit posts/pages you see the classic editor then something is wrong.

Let me know if that's the case, I would need a copy of your site for testing if that's the case.

You can prepare one as described here: hidden link

That was it. Under Toolset-Dashboard, ALL the Post Types list Post Editor as the Classic Editor, including the built-in post types. I changed it to Block Editor for the built-in post types, and the block editor now appears.

I don't know why, but it's fixed. Thank you!
