I am trying to: Set permissions so that guest can edit a post through CRED form.

The guest can currently create a post and view the post data but cannot see the edit form.

I have set all the form permissions, field permissions etc that I can see but cannot get this working.

Hi Leonard,

Thank you for contacting our support forum.

Taking a look at this I would like to ensure that there isn't a plugin conflict here so I would like for you to temporarily disable all your non-toolset plugins and then try again.

Once you have done this please let me know.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Shane

I deactivated all the plugins except the toolset types ones. I also changed to a standard wordpress theme but the problem is still there.

Thanks
Leonard

Hi Leonard,

Our development team has provided a hotfix for this.

Could you take a look at the link below.

Thanks,

Hi Shane

Thanks a lot. That sorted the issue described above around the CRED edit form. Just one last thing that I need to get fixed.

When a guest access a post through the following type of URL it works fine:
hidden link

But when a guest creates a post with the CRED form it cannot access the post through the following type of URL. This is the same post as in the example above but a different way of accessing it. It seems like this is the way the CRED form refers to the post after its created:
hidden link

The error I get in this case is:
Oops, This Page Could Not Be Found!

The post type is linked to a content template. Not sure if this is related to the problem.

Thanks
Leonard

Hi Leonard,

This is a completely different problem not relating to CRED.

I would suggest opening a new ticket for this one so it can be treated as a separate case 🙂

Thanks,
Shane
