Hello, I see that your website lists GenerateBlocks as a plugin with known compatibility issues - https://toolset.com/documentation/beyond-pages-program/block-plugins-compatible-with-toolset/#block-plugins-with-known-compatibility-issues

Could you highlight what these compatibility issues are? (especially as its associated theme, GeneratePress, is one of your recommended themes to use with Toolset)

The plugin author has indicated that they would be willing to look to fix any incompatibilities if they can be specified.

Many thanks

Hi Joel,

Thank you for getting in touch.

I checked on our system for a list of the compatibility issues but i'm unable to find any. However if you are having any specific issues you can let me know and we can see how best we can resolve it.

Thanks,
Shane

Thanks Shane. Any chance you can check with colleagues as it seems odd to publicly state compatibility issues on your site but then not have any further information? It would be a good opportunity to get it resolved as the plugin author is willing to look to fix any incompatibilities.

We're planning on a major project that is likely to utilise Toolset and GenerateBlocks so it would be good to know before we dive into it.

Many thanks

Hi Joel,

Unfortunately i'm the only one available on the shift right now and the others won't be back until monday.

I can provide an update then if you're ok with this wait.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Joel,

Unfortunately our system doesn't have any logs of compatibility issues with the generateblock plugin.

Usually these are logged on a case by case on our escalated thread system but right now i'm not seeing any for this plugin.

Thanks,
Shane

Ok thanks Shane. I'm glad there aren't any known incompatibilities, but can I suggest you remove the statement from your website? It's a bit confusing and I can imagine it's frustrating for the plugin developer.

Thanks

Hi Joel,

I'm not saying there aren't any known issues.

When I checked our escalated threads system there aren't any tickets opened from our supporters with reported issues.

I've sent an email to our team leader for further advice on this one. Once I get a response I will let you know.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Joel,

So based on what our team leader says and what was logged on our system.

The only issues right now are with the custom css are not displaying on the frontend when you are using a Content template.

So it is replicable by these steps.

- Install GenerateBlocks plugin on a Blocks test site
- Add a new page, insert some GenerateBlocks blocks (e.g. buttons block) with some styling, and visit the page on the front end to confirm that works
- Create a CT, insert some GenerateBlocks blocks with stying, assign the CT to some post or page and view on the front-end. Note the block styles are completely missing.

Thanks,
Shane

That's great, thanks Shane. I'll pass this on to the plugin developer and report back here if there is a solution.

Thanks

Hi Shane,

The plugin developer has asked whether any other block plugins that generate dynamic CSS work in Toolset Content Templates?

Thanks

Hi Joel,

Checking on our system again, i'm not seeing any other tickets with dynamic css not working in content templates.

Under this type of issue the only thing I see is the GenerateBlocks plugin.

So far there are no other Block plugins on our system with the same or similar issue.

Thanks,
Shane
