Hi there,
on my website, we display Courses and their corresponding Dates when users can start attending.
I tried importing new Dates to belong to this Courses using the beta All in one import addon for Types. It works just fine, relationships are recognized, dates are processed, except for checkbox fields import. I can't figure out how to import values to checkboxes using this plugin so wanted to build a workaround - a list of all latest Dates with a CRED to edit them on the run.
So I created:
- a CRED for editing existing Dates with only the most basic functionalities and AJAX submit.
- a view that displays all Dates and with the CRED for editing Dates in the loop.
- a simple page where this View is embedded.
The loop works fine and the forms show up, filled with correct data. But when I click Submit, the form is processed, but no changes are actually saved - upon page refresh the state of all Dates is the same as it was before clicking Submit.
I tried turning off AJAX submit, but even after auto page reload the form data is the same as before submitting changes.
I even tried this solution https://toolset.com/forums/topic/multiple-edit-post-cred-forms-on-same-page/, for avoiding clicking the Submit button over and over again, but again unsuccessfuly.
Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.
Well - first of all, I need to check how the form HTML generated as well as, we had this issue before and I need to dive into our internal ticket to check if this way you can use the forms or not.
However, I need access details and problem URL where you added the Edit forms.
*** Please make a FULL BACKUP of your database and website.***
I would also eventually need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to your site. Preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible in order to be of better help and check if some configurations might need to be changed.
I would additionally need your permission to de- and re-activate Plugins and the Theme, and to change configurations on the site. This is also a reason the backup is really important. If you agree to this, please use the form fields I have enabled below to provide temporary access details (wp-admin and FTP).
I have set the next reply to private which means only you and I have access to it.
Well - when I try to access the wp-admin, it says the following message:
You dont have permission to access website administration from this country.
Would you mind to revoke the county-wise restriction on your site until we close this ticket?
Hi Minesh,
please try again.
No, still no luck. I'm getting still same message:
You dont have permission to access website administration from this country.
Hello Minesh,
please try again now, had to get in touch with our server provider.
Thank you. I confirm that the access details now works fine.
Could you please update ALL Toolset plugins to it's the latest officially released version. You can download it from your accounts page:
=> https://toolset.com/account/downloads/
Please update WordPress version to 5.1.
Somehow I lost the form fields you set up. Can you set up the form correctly?
=> hidden link
Once all done - I will try to investigate this further.
Hi Minesh,
due to a never before seen error I can't update these three plugins. The error I get is "undefined".
Could I uninstall existing plugins and reinstall a fresh copy? Wouldn't that loose all the data?
Also: I guess this is a very fresh update as I just updated toolset plugins a couple of days ago.

=> Yes, deactivate and delete those plugins. No - when you remove/delete the plugin, you will not loose the data. But please take full backup in any case.

=> Yes - we publish new version yesterday.
Hi Minesh
I updated all Toolset plugins and setup the form as it was again.
I tested the view/form submit but the result is the same. Please advise
Well - it looks like there is issue when you set the form with AJAX submit.
I remove the AJAX submit and when I tested the form. It looks like it works - Can you please confirm:
=> hidden link
I still see you did not update WordPress to 5.1 - Can you please do that.
In addition to that - to isolate the issue:
Could you please try to resolve your issue by deactivating all third-party plugins as well as the default theme to check for any possible conflicts with any of the plugins or themes?
If with only Toolset plugins AJAX submit for the edit form still does not work - Could you please send me the duplicator copy of your site:
=> https://toolset.com/faq/provide-supporters-copy-site/
I have set the next reply to private which means only you and I have access to it.
Ok - I confirm the issue with AJAX submit, for now, you should go without AJAX and I reported this issue in front of our Devs.
I get an update that the issue of "AJAX submit with edit form within a view" will be shipped with the Toolset Forms version 2.4 in near future.
Well - please open a new ticket with your each new question as this ticket is linked to the issue "AJAX submit with edit form within a view" originally.
This will help other users searching on the forum and also help us to write correct ticket resolution summary for the issue for which ticket originally opened.
Thank you for understanding.
I just wanted to update you that fix for this issue is set to publish with Toolset Forms version 2.4.
