Form fields not rendering

This support ticket is created 5 years, 4 months ago. There's a good chance that you are reading advice that it now obsolete.

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

Everyone can read this forum, but only Toolset clients can post in it. Toolset support works 6 days per week, 19 hours per day.

The multiselect fields I am trying to create via toolset forms are not displaying.
Their label comes up but nothing else.

There are no javascript errors on the page or in my php error log.

I noticed this only happens if I try to populate the options via shortcode.
I have created a shortcode that provides the requested output but I am getting a blank field.

I found that my generated json was malformed. Got it to work.
Would be really helpful if there was some sort of error shown if the shortcode used as an option generates invalid input, instead of just not rendering the field with no explanation.
